How Do I File a Claim?

If you have a loss to your property in Mexico which exceeds your deductible, immediately call the toll free number included in your policy on the insurance claims instructions page. An adjuster will respond immediately to the scene and assist you with your claim.

I Own a Condominium, Can I Purchase Mexican Condominium Insurance?

We offer Condominium Unit Owners Insurance policy which includes coverage for contents and liability and can also include some coverage for the condo dwelling itself. When insuring your condo, there are some factors that you need to review prior to determining your “condo dwelling” insurable value.

Each Condo Association in Mexico should keep an Association Blanket Policy that covers the Association property. Typically, the condo association policy insures the Condo building, common elements such as pools, other structures, and the interior walls, alterations, fixtures, etc. To find out what kind of coverage your Condominium Association policy provides, and therefore what kind of coverage you should purchase, ask for a copy of your Association Bylaws.

Mexico on my Mind can insure your contents and liability and limited condo dwelling coverage or contents only. This is All Risk Coverage on your contents, including theft, with the option of Replacement Cost. Coverage is also available for some of the hard to find perils such as hurricane and earthquake.

I Rent my Home, What About Liability Coverage?

If you rent out your home or condo, we also include Renter’s Liability coverage at no additional charge in case of third party lawsuits brought against you for incidents that occur on your premises.

What Do I Need to Purchase a Mexican Homeowners Insurance Policy?

You will want to have a copy of your Fideicomiso or deed. Your policy will require that the “Named Insured” field reads exactly as the title to your home. It is not a problem if there are more than one set of owners on the deed.
